The thicker fabric on the instep extends higher than our racing models for increased protection, and specific mesh around the ankle offers reassuring stability on rocky terrain. A completely new "toe reinforcement" area offers a more ergonomic fit and better proprioception, allowing your toes to grip and balance intuitively on uneven ground. Durable terry cloth padding covers all toes to cushion impacts during fast and brutal descents. Enhanced 360° arch support stimulates blood circulation and prevents the fabric from twisting and folding, thus avoiding blisters and irritation over the miles. Signature dot technologies offer strategic protection against external elements in areas known to be problematic for trail runners. Both malleoli are covered with large sun-shaped dots to prevent bruising on the lower foot. Two lateral rows of 3D.Dots cover the fibular muscles, stimulating sensory receptors to improve proprioception and ankle stability. A large pattern of 3D.Dots runs up the Achilles tendon for added padding and support, surrounding a line of Flat.dots for ventilation.
